Founded in 1974, KBM Resources Group is an independently-owned natural resources consulting firm based out of Northwestern Ontario, with satellite offices in Saskatchewan.

Aerial Survey & Geomatics
We offer a comprehensive suite of remote sensing applications including; airborne LiDAR acquisition, multispectral image capture, thermal imaging, oblique photography and ocular assessments. All remote sensing data are processed in Thunder Bay at KBM’s state-of-the-art geomatics lab, where complex data are transformed into client-specific information products.
Technical Services
Our Technical Services Group is the backbone of our organization. Our team of dedicated and experienced natural resource technicians conduct field surveys, collect high quality data and work with our community partners in some of Canada’s more remote and challenging environments.
Environmental and Forestry Consulting
For over 40 years, KBM’s Environmental Consulting Group has built a reputation for surpassing client expectations. Our diverse group of natural resource professionals and extensive network of collaborators are experienced and well-respected in their fields. We specialize in forestry, ecology, wildlife biology, natural resource planning and policy review. No matter what the subject, we deliver on time and on budget. We love what we do and take pride in our work.
Flight Operations
KBM Flight Operations consists of a fleet of six dedicated fixed-wing survey aircraft. Our KBM Air Crew and base of operations is located in our hangar at the Thunder Bay International Airport. All survey aircraft have been acquired specifically for aerial photography and modified accordingly.
