Junior Forestry Technician
KBM Resources Group is an independently owned natural resources consulting firm based In Thunder Bay, Ontario, with satellite office in Prince Albert, SK. KBM offers a wide range of services including digital aerial photography and thermal imaging, land use planning, natural resource management solutions, site assessments, silviculture/forest health surveys and environmental audits.
We are currently seeking two Junior Forestry Technicians based in Prince Albert to assist with various projects from May 1 to August 31. Projects may include, but are not limited to forest renewal, forest health surveys, and surveying of utility lines.
Competencies/qualifications typically required for this position include the following:
- Minimum one year post secondary education in natural resource management, biology, forestry, geography, or related study
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Comfortable working independently in remote areas, and travelling for extended periods of time
- Demonstrate safe operation of an all-terrain vehicle and able to successfully complete applicable safety courses
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, dependable, able to work individually as well as within a team. Knowledge of current GIS software is considered an asset.
Remuneration will be based on education, skills and experience.
