KBM Aviation- Survey Pilot/Operator

Based out of Thunder Bay International Airport, KBM Aviation comprises a fleet of nine piston and turbine fixed-wing aircraft servicing our growing 702/703 and FTU operations. Aerial Survey includes missions such as aerial photography, LiDAR, thermal, Geophysical, and ocular surveys all over Canada and beyond. We also operate charter services, flight training, maintenance/AMO in Northwestern Ontario.

KBM Aviation is hiring for a survey pilot role on C206, PA-24, PA-34, and PA-31 with opportunity to advance to AT502. This will be a full-time position and will require the successful candidate to base in Thunder Bay. Pilots work a variable schedule driven by projects and weather that is generally busy in the summer and quieter in the winter. Survey projects vary in length from half day to three-week assignments at locations across Canada and occasionally the USA. Pilots normally fly 300-500 hours per year.
Compensation includes:
- Base salary $50,000 – $90,000 / year
- Flight pay $200/ day, $100/ half-day
- Per diem away from base $102/night
- RRSP/TFSA matching program
- Annual profit share/bonus
Accommodations and travel costs provided. Full time positions include comprehensive benefits, and health insurance.

Minimum Qualifications:
- CPL
- Total Time 500
Preferences:
- Degree or experience in GIS/Geomatics
- Experience operating computer hardware/software systems
- Experience in photography
- Experience on tailwheel aircraft
- Bilingual
