Job Description

The primary focus of KBM stereo photo interpreters is assessing forest regeneration and conducting forest inventories using KBM Aviation collected stereo photos. KBM is currently seeking a stereo photo interpreter with proven technical skills to join our team. The ideal candidate would have field experience and a willingness to occasionally support field work programs.

While candidates with a strong background in forest resource inventory are preferred, specific job training will be provided for the successful candidate.

Qualifications

  • Degree, diploma, or currently enrolled in Forestry, Natural Resources, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
  • Previous work experience in precision forest data collection or other related disciplines.
  • Background in Forestry, Natural Resources, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organization skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with DATEM Summit Evolution
  • Stereo photo interpretation certification
  • Familiarity with tablet-based data collection applications (e.g., ESRI survey 123 or Field Maps)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Demonstrated experience using GNSS systems for navigation and data collection.
  • Proficient use of ESRI suite products (ArcPro, ArcMap, AGOL, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience working in remote environments for extended periods of time.
  • Demonstrated experience working outdoors.
